Our Merino

Nature's highest performing natural fiber.

Merino sheep are like the heavy-weight champions of the sheep world – big, resilient, and able to stand up to just about anything nature throws their way.

This is because merino lambswool is soft, smooth to the touch and luxuriously light. It is one of the best naturally breathable and moisture-wicking fabrics. Lambswool contains lanolin, a wax-like coating that helps repel water, is a natural barrier against harsh climates and protects the sheep’s skin from infections. It is antimicrobial, so it resists odors and stains, repels water and rarely needs washing. Lambswool's exceptional durability and elasticity extends the lifespan of the garment. And because the wool is a natural animal fiber, it can break down naturally at the end of its life.

Our merino lambswool fleece is sourced from Australia and New Zealand, spun inTO YARN IN the U.K., and knitted in the U.S.

Our Baby Alpaca

found in the softest parts of an adult Alpaca, it usually consists of soft fleece from the chest and armpits!

The term "baby alpaca" refers to the grading of fineness of the fiber. Alpaca fleece is soft and silky. It is lighter in weight and up to 7x warmer than sheep’s wool but very breathable. Historically, the Incans valued alpaca wool more than silver and gold. Only royalty could wear it.

Alpaca is an inherently sustainable textile holding one of the lowest environmental impacts of all animal fibers. Their softly padded hooves do not cause soil erosion and flooding like sheep. Alpaca is luxuriously soft to the touch and can do everything merino wool can, and be hypo-allergenic as it contains no lanolin. It is naturally antimicrobial, so it resists odors and rarely needs washing.

Our baby alpaca wool fleece is sourced and spun into yarn in Peru, and knitted in the U.S.
