FAQ

Where are your products MADE?

Garments are produced in our studio in Washington on our vintage knitting machines, hand-finished and.

What fibers do you work with?

Fiber content is listed in the product listing.

We mostly work with natural fibers, especially baby alpaca and merino lambswool, cotton, silk and cashmere. Much of the merino fleece comes from Australia and New Zealand but is spun & dyed in U.K. and U.S. We source alpaca from Peru.

There may be some synthetic fibers such as Tencel™lyocell in some products. Tencel™ lends great strength, efficient moisture absorption, and pleasant feel in addition to being a sustainable circular product. Read more here.

Do you take commissions or do custom work?

Yes I do- depending on what you would like to order, the cost will vary. If you would like a different color of a style, there would be no extra cost. But if you would like an existing design in a color that I do not have in stock, there may be a surplus charge for the excess of yarn needed to be ordered. I am able to source merino wool in over 100 colors.

I also take commissions for new styles- I have previously made a women’s sweater based on a customer's previously loved one and men’s sweaters.

See here for return policies for bespoke orders. Feel free to email me at support@ruedechu.studio with any questions.
